Community Health Update: COVID‑19 in Virginia (March 2026)
Current Situation in Virginia - COVID‑19 levels throughout Virginia, including the Williamsburg/Stonehouse area, are currently low and continuing to decline.
Emergency room visits for COVID‑19 are very low.
Overall, respiratory illness is low.
The CDC has detected the BA.3.2 (“Cicada”) variant in Virginia wastewater samples.
It remains low in overall case numbers, but health officials are watching it because of its high number of mutations.
No evidence shows that BA.3.2 causes more severe illness than recent strains.
Current Situation at New Zion Baptist Church
New Zion Baptist Church has had multiple COVID cases in the past two weeks. To protect everyone, especially our older members and those with health issues, we are following cleaning protocols and offering N95 and regular masks for anyone who wants them. Your well-being is our priority.

Test for COVID‑19 or flu.
If you are experiencing allergy symptoms, nasal congestion, sneezing, or cough, please consider wearing a mask.
If You’re at High Risk

Wear a mask or keep your distance whenever you feel it is needed.
Let the church know how we can support you.

March Let’s Pray - “Now all glory to God, who is able through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

We believe that God is doing great things in us at NZBC and will continue to do great things through us.
Give thanks to God for the NZBC Youth Ministry, where spiritual growth is being nurtured through the teaching of foundational Bible study skills.
